Karygiannis Sworn In as MP for the Seventh
Time
OTTAWA - The
Honourable Jim Karygiannis was sworn in as the Member of Parliament for
the riding of Scarborough-Agincourt.
This is the seventh time Mr. Karygiannis has been elected to
represent the people of Scarborough-Agincourt.
"Once
again, I am humbled by the trust placed in me by the voters of
Scarborough-Agincourt." said Mr. Karygiannis.
"It is an immense privilege to represent them in the House of
Commons."
Mr.
Karygiannis was first elected to the House of Commons on November 21,
1988.
"The
challenge faced by this Parliament is daunting.
The economic downturn we are facing is affecting Canadians."
Mr. Karygiannis commented. "During
the election, I promised to consult with my constituents and to take their
views to the floor of the House of Commons."
Mr.
Karygiannis has been in contact with numerous individuals, groups and
organizations soliciting their ideas on how the Government of Canada
should help Canadians and Canadian business.
