ORTHODOX CHRISTMAS GREETING BY NDP LEADER HOWARD HAMPTON
On behalf of
New Democrats, I would like to send my warmest greetings during Orthodox
Christmas.
This is a
time to come together as a community, to strengthen family ties and
friendships. It is a time to
visit with friends and loved ones, to celebrate rich cultural traditions.
It is a joyful time, and it is a time for reflection and forgiveness.
People worldwide share the spirit of sharing, compassion and fellowship.
We
ought to also reflect on the values that unite us and our desire to make
Ontario the best province it can possibly be.
Let us reflect on our hopes and dreams we can give to the
future, so that all children in Ontario can make their dreams come true.
I want to
recognize the contributions of the Orthodox community in building a
stronger and more diverse Ontario. Your
message of hope and our collective responsibility for each other speaks to
our shared goal of strengthening our communities, province and country for
future generations.
May your
Orthodox Christmas be blessed with peace, prosperity and happiness on this
festive holiday.
